How I Learned To Love Trump – Part I

Or, A Bernie-Or-Buster’s “Ridiculous” Stance

An Open Letter to the DNC

How do I even begin this? From the moment I heard his message, I was a steadfast supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders and his campaign for the United States Presidency. Though at first, back when there were still several Republicans in the running, I said that, if I had to, I would hold my nose and vote for Hillary Clinton in order to beat the Republicans. Soon, however, the more I learned about Hillary Clinton and her shady dealings, the more I became convinced that she, too, could not be let anywhere near the White House. I became a Bernie-Or-Buster.

Well, the DNC and the Clinton Political Machine made sure that, despite enormous support for Senator Sanders, Hillary Clinton is the main opponent against the Republican Candidate, who happens to be a loudmouthed blowhard with little to no substance in his words and even less in his policies. There are still other candidates, such as the Green Party’s Jill Stein and the Libertarians Gary Johnson, but at the time of this writing, neither is widely considered to be viable. However, with the results of the Democratic Convention earlier today, that may very well change. (Note: This 5-part series was begun on July 26.) Johnson has already started to make a stronger showing, and Jill has gotten a yuuuge push today alone.

You have no idea how much it pains me to type out the next few words, but…

I’m going to vote for Donald Trump.

Oh, I know, I’m just a petulant child who didn’t get his way and can’t see past November and look at the bigger picture. I am just mad right now, but I’ll get over it and fall in line before the election, right?

Here’s the thing, DNC – you have no idea what you have done. My generation, and the generation slightly younger than mine whom you have labeled as “Millenials”, are the most informed generation that you have ever had the bad luck to cross. You don’t seem to understand that we have a thing called “The Internet”, and that we can find information

The DNC colluded with the Mainstream Media to misinform the public

within seconds with a few simple keystrokes. We have rejected the stream of misinformation from the Corporate mouthpieces that our parents and grandparents still believe is honest journalism. And, unluckily for you, our parents and grandparents are dying off. That means that, within a couple of election cycles, we are going to be the largest voting block in the country. That also means that, in just a few years, you will depend on our support. And we aren’t going to forget this.

We aren’t going to forget how your former chair, one Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, placed not just her thumb but her whole ego on the scale, even while claiming to be impartial. We aren’t going to forget how your committee members gleefully followed Debbie’s lead and did everything that they could to sabotage Bernie Sanders and his campaign. And we aren’t going to forget how, when she reluctantly stepped down, you replaced her with Donna Brazile, someone just as bad, if not worse.

Poor, poor Democrats. Caught red-handed (or is it blue-handed?) violating FEC regulations and your own bylaws. Running a campaign finance racket as money was laundered through state parties. Active voter suppression by purging voter rolls and damaging, destroying, or just simply ignoring millions of ballots. Let’s just call it what it is – Election Fraud.

Through your actions, DNC, you sought to silence millions of voices so you could coronate your queen. But, to your dismay, we aren’t silent. We aren’t just lying down and taking it. We are speaking out. We are organizing. And we are taking action. You did not silence us. You disenfranchised us. You pissed us off. You told us that our voices didn’t matter. That WE didn’t matter.

And, now that you have your fraudulent nominee, you want us to help you defeat the Big, Bad Trump. You can’t be serious.

Here’s what Bernie Or Bust really means – it means that I am not voting for Hillary Clinton. Simple as that. I don’t care who is on the other side. I won’t vote for someone I don’t want to win just because someone else I don’t want to win might win. You tried to hold the loaded gun that is Donald Trump to our heads and force us to vote for Hillary Clinton. We don’t negotiate with terrorists.

Bernie Or Bust doesn’t mean that WE Bust. It means that YOU Bust, dearest DNC. You had the opportunity to nominate the most honorable man in politics, the strongest candidate

against Trump, and the clear People’s Choice. Instead, you schemed and scammed and connived Hillary Clinton into position, despite dismal polling. And, guess what? Trump is still leading her in polls. Way to go.

Oh, but if we don’t vote for your cherry picked candidate and Trump wins, it’s our fault, right? No, no, no. YOU made this bed. You could have guaranteed victory with Bernie Sanders. Instead, you have most likely guaranteed defeat with Hillary Clinton. Way to go. But I damn sure won’t take the blame for that. That’s on you.

“A vote for anybody other than Hillary is a vote for Trump!” Wrong again, dipshits. A vote for any person is a vote for that person. If you were really concerned, really afraid of Trump winning, well, you should have nominated someone worth voting for when you had the chance. This whole “Well, we have to beat Trump” thing is getting really old, and that includes hearing it from you, Bernie. I’m actually starting to feel bad for the Donald, to be honest.

Massive walkout at the DNC after Hillary was named the Democratic Nominee

DNC, you have seen a mass exodus from your registered ranks. You already know that the vast majority of the millions of Independents you shut out aren’t going to support you. As your party crumbles and you beg for our help, remember how we didn’t matter when you were working to subvert our democratic processes. Remember how you wanted to silence us, as we look down on you, wallowing in your own self-destruction, and utter not one word.
